One Touch Feature
Espresso, Café Crème, Cappuccino and Latte macchiato can be selected with just one touch. Warm milk, frothed milk or hot water are also available easily and conveniently with One Touch.
Bean Select
To make different coffee specialities CAFFEO® CI® has a two chamber bean container \"Bean Select\". Whether you want café crème in the morning or an espresso after dinner: Coffee lovers can now simply switch between fine mild coffee beans or aromatic strong espresso beans. With the integrated ground coffee chute you can also use ready ground coffee.
My Coffee Memory
You don’t want to set your personal coffee preferences every time you make a coffee? No problem! With the My Coffee Memory feature you can set your favourite coffee specialities individually. Whether you like a strong small espresso or a delightfully creamy latte macchiato with lots of frothed milk - the CAFFEO® CI® remembers your flavour preferences! Up to 4 people can programme and save their preferences for all coffee specialities, so they can enjoy their favourite drinks at any time.
Original Preparation Process
For coffee specialities prepared with the correct order of ingredients, in accordance with the original Italien recipes: So for latte macchiato the espresso ist added only after the frothed milk and milk. For cappuccino, the espresso is poured before the frothed milk.
Aroma-Extraction-System
For maximum enjoyment SOLO® & perfect milk uses a pre-brewing feature: The ground coffee is moistened with water before the actual brewing to free the maximum flavour of your coffee. For optimal cleaning the whole brewing unit can simply be removed.
Double Cup Mode
It‘s better together – with the Double Cup Mode you can simultaneously prepare two cups of many coffee specialities with or without milk. Also good for those who drink a lot of coffee of course.
Easy to use
Simple and intuitive to use thanks to the easy to understand menu. The illumination of the operating buttons ('illumination control') shows which buttons can be used. With the Memory Switch dial it's child's play to navigate through the menu. The text display supports you with clear instructions - from making your coffee to automatic cleaning.
All-in-One outlet
Separate nozzles for coffee, milk and hot water ensure simple preparation of your favourite beverages without you having to move the cup. Additionally, the height of the outlet can be adjusted by up to 140 mm so tall latte macchiato glasses will fit, too.
Removable brewing unit
The whole brewing unit can be removed and is easy to clean. This makes the inside of the machine accessible too, so it can also be cleaned without problem.
Plug in milk system
The milk system with its external, dishwasher-safe milk container is easy to remove and fits in any fridge. The separate milk unit in the outlet also ensures cleanliness, as it is separate from the coffee system. It too is easy to remove and clean.
Easy Steam Cleaning
Fast and hygienic – each time you make a drink with milk, your fully automatic machine offers to clean the parts in contact with milk. At the press of a button hot water and steam start cleaning thoroughly.
Water filter
To make your coffee taste even better, use a Melitta® Pro Aqua water filter. Another advantage - your fully automatic coffee machine only needs to be descaled once a year**. Why? It‘s obvious - the filter prevents lime deposits in the water system for as long as possible. **Based on a 120 ml cup 6 cups a day and changing the filter 6 times according to the appliance specifications.

The display automatically indicates when the machine needs to be cleaned or descaled. Step-by-step instructions guide you through the different steps of the programmes.
Contemporary energy efficiency
In addition to a programmable energy-saving mode, Melitta® fully automatic coffee machines have a practical Auto-OFF feature. This allows you to determine when your fully automatic coffee machine switches itself off automatically. Of course, you can also disconnect the appliance from the power supply manually using the 0-watt switch.

Brilliamt
I absolutely love this machine! I've edited my choices and it's perfect every time. The ONLY thing I would want is one more milk container so we don't have to pour left over milk back in the bottle when we need to change from dairy to oat every time. Can I get another container?

An absolutely brilliant machine. So easy to use and every cup has been a success! We found the deep cleaning also to be a success, once we understood what we were doing?
Too hard to maintain and does not like Waitrose Columbian Beans
This review is after 3 months of use and a return to Mellita, who say it is working perfectly. This machine has been so hard to maintain and look after, with the drip tray requiring emptying and brewing unit requiring cleaning much more often that the instruction manual suggests. We have tried the OEM cleaning tablets but it has made no difference. There are also a number of issues:
1. It clearly does not like Waitrose Columbian beans - possibly too oily. If you like a 4 bean strength espresso, the brew head clogs up every two days.
2. The hottest setting on all drinks is apparently to spec but is certainly not hot enough for a cappuccino.
We gave up using the milk side of it as it cooled a capuccino, (although the latte was hot) and the milk went off - even in the fridge - if you tried to store it in the container. We are now just using the machine as an espresso machine and have gone back to the Nespresso milk frother.
All in all, a very unsatisfactory experience. I suspect we will go back to a standard pump machine when this dies. We only tried it as we thought it would involve less faff.
I have now had chance to test this machine, this is an amazing machine. This is my third in 10 years, but the first Melitta. This is the most superior by far and actually really competitive, due to their price. The coffee bean store is a great idea, wh
I cannot fault this machine
Good, but also slight disappointment
Great machine once set up and got used to it, but I have a major niggle, in that I can't use Starbucks Espresso Beans in it.
Every time I put SB Espresso Beans in, the machine kept saying to refill beans, even though it was full. The coffee was being accepted and ground but not brewing.
After searching online, turns out the machine doesn't like oily beans, which SB Espresso is.
I tried some Lavazza beans which weren't oily and these went thru fine.
I have since purchased some Starbucks Holiday Blend Beans and mixed them with my Espresso Beans and this seems to work OK.
Disappointing after paying so much for a machine, that you can't use your favourite coffee.
The milk frother is really good and the way the machine Auto cleans is also great.
I would buy this machine again, but never at the full retail price, I would expect alot more for this price.
